For Pro features:

4. Accessibility Service Usage (CRITICAL DISCLOSURE)

Fix Broken Back Button uses Android’s Accessibility Service to enable system-level actions triggered by the user.

What the service does:

  • Executes user-selected actions such as Back, Home, Recents
  • Detects foreground app (for Smart Visibility feature)
  • Enables gesture-based navigation

What the service DOES NOT do:

  • ❌ Does NOT capture text input or keystrokes
  • ❌ Does NOT monitor personal activity
  • ❌ Does NOT collect sensitive data
  • ❌ Does NOT store or transmit user interactions

The accessibility service is strictly used for user-initiated actions only and complies with Google Play Accessibility policies.


5. Overlay Permission (Draw Over Other Apps)

The app requires overlay permission to:

  • Display a floating button above other apps
  • Enable quick navigation from anywhere on the device

Important:

  • We do NOT use this permission to track or monitor user behavior
  • No data is collected via overlays

6. Data Storage

6.1 Local Storage

  • All settings are stored locally using Android SharedPreferences
  • Includes UI preferences, gesture actions, and feature toggles
  • Data remains on your device unless cleared manually

6.2 Cloud Storage (Optional Feature)

If you sign in:

  • Your settings may be backed up to cloud storage using Firebase Firestore
  • Data stored:
    • User profile (basic info)
    • App settings backup

Purpose:

  • Restore settings when switching devices
  • Sync preferences securely

You can opt out by not signing in.

  • The app may show ads in the free version
  • Ads are provided via Google AdMob
